Shabbat, September 19 – 1st Day Rosh HaShana

  • 09:33 am – Latest time for Kriat Shema

Candle Lighting and preparation for the 2nd Day no earlier than 7:37pm. Yom Tov candles must be lit from an existing flame. Remember to place a new fruit (one that has not been eaten in the past year) on the table before Kiddush for the blessing of Shehechiyanu. Remember to include Havdalah in Kiddush, as can be found in the Rosh Hashanah Machzor.

Sunday, September 20 – 2nd Day Rosh HaShana

  • 09:33 am – Latest time for Kriat Shema
  • 01:00 pm – Second Shofar Blowing (30 blasts only) in the Main Parking lot.
  • 07:35 pm – Yom Tov Ends

  • 06:20 pm – Mincha followed by Ma’ariv. Remember that although we have davened Ma’ariv, Yom tov does not end until 7:35 pm.
  • Chovot Halevavot shiur after Ma’ariv
  • 07:35 pm – Yom Tov Ends
