  • Candlelighting and preparations for Shavuot night may not begin before 9:08 pm and one must say “vatodianu” in the Shemoneh Esrei or say “Baruch Hamavdil bein kodesh lekodesh” before doing so.
  • Remember to insert Havdalah (the blessings of Borei Meorei Ha’aish and Ha’mavdil; no Besamim) into Kiddush. This can be found in a Shavuot Machzor by Kiddush for the first night of Shavuot, and in the Artscroll Siddur P.658
