Candle lighting and preparations for Simchat Torah may not be done before 7:13 pm. Light candles from an existing flame.
Before doing so you must recite the Havdalah found in the Ma’ariv Amidah, or say, “Baruch hamavdil ben kodesh l’kodesh.”
Remember to insert the Havdalah blessings of Borei me’orai ha’aish and Hamavdil ben kodesh l’kodesh into Kiddush, which you can find in a siddur or Machzor.
