Remember to place a new fruit (one that has not been eaten in the past year) on the table before Kiddush for the blessing of Shehechiyanu. Remember to insert the Havdalah blessings of Borei me’orei ha’aish and Hamavdil ben kodesh l’kodesh into Kiddush (found in a Rosh Hashanah Machzor).
Before doing any of these you must recite the Havdalah found in the Ma’ariv Amidah or say, “Baruch hamavdil ben kodesh l’kodesh.”
